Policy Internship Opportunity

The British Ecological Society has a opportunity for a paid internship to assist the Science Policy Team for two days a week for three months at the Society’s office in central London.

Policy Interns will help:

•Monitor legislation and policy developments relevant to the science of ecology;
•Assist with the preparation of policy statements, briefing papers and responses to Government consultations;
•Assist with the organisation of policy meetings and events;
•Assist with administrative tasks.

Qualifications and skills:

•Graduate;
•Knowledge or interest in the science of ecology;
•Knowledge or interest in public policy;
•Excellent IT skills.

Come and volunteer in the BES Policy Team

We’re now recruiting an intern, to join us for three months from January 2012, working for two days each week with the BES Policy Manager. We will cover travel expenses within London and lunch costs of up to £5 per day.

You will be involved in all aspects of our policy work, including drafting responses to consultations, helping to organise meetings and attending events to represent the Society and our members to external contacts.

The closing date is Friday 18th November, at 17.00.

Interviews will be held on the morning of Monday 5th December.

Applications now open for the BES Policy Internship

Applications are now being accepted for the BES Policy Internship. The intern will assist with the work of the Society’s Science Policy Team for two days each week, for up to three months. The Society will cover the volunteer’s lunch costs (up to £5.00 per day) and travel costs within London.

The closing date is Friday 18th March (5.00pm). Interviews will be held on Monday 4th April.

BES Policy Internship Now Open for Applications

The BES is now recruiting for a Policy Intern, to join the BES Policy Team in Lonodon for two days each week for up to three months. The internship will begin in October. This opportunity is unpaid but the BES will reimburse travel expenses within London and cover lunch costs of up to £5 per day.
