Are you interested in undertaking public engagement but don’t know where to start? Sign up for our training course and learn some of the skills required to effectively communicate your science to a diverse audience.

Course outline

We will soon be launching our 2017/18 public engagement training programme and are inviting BES members to participate in our free course (how to become a member). Our aim is to inspire and support you to undertake effective science engagement activities and learn how to communicate your research to a diverse audience.

Via a combination of training and practical delivery opportunities at fantastic events such as Glastonbury and RHS Chelsea Flower Show, you will learn some of the skills required to effectively communicate your science and develop your public engagement capability.

The programme will consist of two interactive training days and practical delivery experience where you will have the fantastic opportunity of delivering at national events, including music festivals.

Registration is open now, places are limited, so when applying please ensure you let your creativity shine through. The closing date for expressions of interest is the Friday 15th September 2017. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on Tuesday 19th September .
