BES Symposium Volumes and Special Publications
The BES publishes the Symposium Volumes and Special Publications series available through Wiley-Blackwell. BES members get a 25% on both hardback and paperback copies. To order your copies, please login to the Members’ area and use the discount code in the Cambridge University Press section.
Wiley Online Library
Our members can access all papers published in BES journals for free via the Wiley Online Library. If you are a BES member, simply login to the Members’ Area here, or register with us today to get started.
Any papers published prior to 1998 can be found on the JSTOR website. Members can access these by subscribing to the BES journals archive, which costs just £7.50 a year (+VAT for UK based members).
We also offer discounts on printed journal subscriptions too. The Journal of Animal Ecology, Journal of Applied Ecology and Journal of Ecology are each available for £35 per annum for standard members, and just £15 per annum to our concessions, eg. reduced rate/student/retired members.
Wiley-Blackwell books and journals

- Reduced subscriptions to the BES journals.

British Wildlife is an independent bi-monthly magazine covering all aspects of British natural history and conservation. BES members are eligible for a concessionary subscription. Subscription details are available from the website.
Through Elsevier Science the BES is able to offer its members an individual subscription to Biological Conservation. An annual subscription costs only £123.00; you can download a subscription form here.
Global Change Biology
Our members of the British Ecological Society can take advantage of a discount on Global Change Biology, one of the most highly cited Ecology journals for original research papers. The Personal Rate in 2015 was £227 for print and online access, but BES members can enjoy online only subscription for just £55. You can also subscribe to Global Change Biology at the BES member rate by visiting the Wiley-Blackwell website.
