2019 Parliamentary Shadowing scheme in Scotland open for applications
Apply now to spend two days shadowing Scottish Ministers.
Applications are now open for our 2019 Parliamentary Shadowing Scheme placement in Scotland, with Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, and Mairi Gougeon MSP, Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment.
The participant will spend two days shadowing Ms Cunningham and Ms Gougeon between the 19-20 November 2019, gaining a unique insight into the workings of the Scottish Parliament and the policy world. Find out about Magda’s shadowing experience from 2018.

Please send a CV of a maximum of two pages, and a covering letter detailing why you wish to take part in the shadowing scheme and how you hope it will further your career, as well as how you intend to share the learning from your experience with the wider ecological community.

Selection criteria
Eligibility is limited to ecologists who are:
- Current BES members
- Post PhD
- Working in the scientific community in Scotland
