Martin Nuñez – Thu 8 Apr
How might we make ecology a truly global endeavour and include scientists in both the Global North and Global South? This free online talk will be broadcast on Zoom as part of Ecology Live 2021.

Ecology must be a global endeavour
Unlike physics where principles are often universal, in ecology many of our results change dramatically between regions. Despite this, most ecology publications come from a very few – wealthy – countries. This makes many of our findings of limited use, and creates unfairness in the possibilities for researchers in Global South to share their findings with a broader audience.
There is a growing demand to make ecology a more global endeavour that can be achieved with the help of the international scientific community, which includes journals and scientists in the Global North and Global South.
