I joined the EPG in 2022 whilst carrying out my PhD research on community-based fire management across East and Southern African savanna-protected areas to address increasing wildfire challenges. Collaborating with local researchers, I am currently living in Kenya and experiencing first-hand the social-ecological conflicts that arise from exclusionary conservation models. My background is in climate change science, environment, and politics, and I am particularly interested in the science-policy interface across contested landscapes and processes of decolonisation.
