I joined the BES English Policy Group as one of the new volunteers in February 2024. In my day-to-day job, I am a data scientist at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology within the Biodiversity Monitoring & Analysis Science Group (since November 2022). My research involves applying computational and quantitative methods to a range of environmental challenges.
Currently, I am involved with projects on carbon-neutral, sustainable, and nature-friendly farming systems, as well as automated monitoring of biodiversity, and global insect biodiversity trends.
Prior to my current role, I graduated with a BSc in Biology from the University of Bath, during which I completed a placement year at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. I then achieved an MSc in Computational Methods in Ecology and Evolution from Imperial College London.
I am excited to be part of the English Policy Group to actively contribute towards real-world change for the betterment of nature and people.
