Michael Shewring
I am a part time conservation scientist with the RSPB, peatland ecologist with the HLF funded Lost Peatlands project and freelance ecological consultant/ researcher. I have worked as a professional consultant ecologist for around 20 years, am a chartered ecologist (CEcol) and member of the CIEEM Wales section committee.
My main interests are in upland land management and it’s cascading effects on biodiversity and carbon storage. With specific commercial and research projects on European Nightjar, bat and wind farm interactions/ conflict and upland habitat restoration with a particular focus on peatlands and forest to bog restoration.
